Queer Words – Mum’s the Word

This is a play with themes of sisterhood and secrets about sexuality.

Sam is reluctant  to tell her elderly mum about her new partner, Jen. When Sam returns home to help her mum after a stay in hospital, Eve her sister brings up the bad feeling between them which arose because Sam had kept her sexuality secret for most of their lives. When mum returns secrets about her lost and found loves leave them both surprised. This play looks at how adults behave as children when they return to their family home and how the family home is soon to be changed forever.
