This 6-part course is delivered by Sharon Colpman, frequent contributor to the Writer’s Block Radio Hour and to the book the Story so Far.
Want to write a meaningful monologue worthy of radio? Not sure how to move your character forward within a play? Want to Write well rounded Characters? Then this course is for you.
Price £45 per person. (This can be paid in two instalments)
What you will learn
The six sessions will cover the following:
- How to generate ideas from a blank piece of paper and using prompts
- The definition of a monologue and the ways they are used
- From examples, how to use monologues within a play and how to write an answering monologue
- Deciding of character mood and how that might change using p-typing
- Knowing your character completely
- How writer’s reveal the inner character
What you will achieve:
- 2 monologues that will be both recorded and performed in a showcase event.
Saturday 14th March 1-3pm for 6 weeks ending Saturday 18th April. work to be submitted no later than 24th April.
Location: The Studio Below, 39 Rodney Street, Liverpool.
The course is designed in such a way that writers are able to communicate, develop and utilise their skills in a workshop setting to eventually produce and present scripts for submissions to MiW for showcase
